Coach “Big Joe” Velazco was more than a coach — he was a mentor, a leader, and the heart behind Impact Goalkeeper Academy. Known for his booming voice, his contagious energy, and his unwavering belief in every player he trained, Big Joe built IGA on values that went far beyond the field: discipline, confidence, and love for the game.
 What began as one camp in 2011 quickly became a community that inspired goalkeepers across Southern California. Big Joe’s dedication to helping others reach their full potential created opportunities for thousands of athletes — from beginners just learning to dive, to college and professional goalkeepers chasing their dreams. His vision wasn’t just to create great players, but great people — resilient, humble, and driven. That mission continues to define IGA today.
